ICARUS is an advanced Smart View Device (SVD) designed to enhance pilot proficiency by realistically simulating Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC) during flight training. Engineered for aviation training institutions, defence forces, and commercial flight operators, ICARUS enables pilots to develop critical instrument flying skills while operating safely under the supervision of an instructor.

Built with a lightweight carbon fibre visor and incorporating advanced Liquid Crystal (LC) film technology, ICARUS accurately replicates varying visibility conditions at the touch of a button. This immersive training environment strengthens situational awareness, sharpens decision-making, and enables pilots to respond calmly and confidently during adverse weather conditions and in-flight emergencies, ultimately reducing operational risks and enhancing flight safety.

Designed for maximum operational flexibility, ICARUS is Night Vision Goggle (NVG) compatible and can be seamlessly integrated into virtually any cockpit configuration without requiring aircraft modifications. The system offers up to six hours of continuous in-flight operation and can be controlled through intuitive onboard manual controls or a dedicated mobile application, allowing instructors to adjust visibility conditions dynamically during training.
